What can be built?

Single-leaf E50 Fire doors have been fire tested and certified up to 60 minutes. The maximum clear opening for the door leaf is 2500 mm high × 1400 mm wide.

These doors can be installed as standalone units or combined with side panels and rectangular overhead panels to create larger glazed assemblies. The total frame height, including an overpanel, must not exceed 4000 mm. Side panels may be added on one or both sides, with widths determined by the maximum certified glass pane sizes.

By dividing the surrounding fixed panels into multiple panes within the tested glass limits, the system allows for flexible partitions while staying within BRE certification. Arched or shaped overhead panels are not included in the fire test scope and therefore are not permitted in fire-rated configurations.

Double-leaf E50 Fire doors are certified for fire resistance up to 120 minutes. The maximum clear opening for the two leaves is 2500 mm high × 2650 mm wide.

These doors can be used on their own or combined with side panels and rectangular overhead panels to form larger glazed assemblies. The total frame height, including an overpanel, must not exceed 4000 mm. Side panels may be fitted on one or both sides, with widths depending on the maximum certified glass pane dimensions.

Large façades or partitions can be achieved by dividing the fixed side and top panels into multiple smaller panes, all within the tested glass size limits. Non-rectangular or arched panels are not included in the BRE fire test scope and are therefore excluded from fire-rated versions.

All doorsets must latch automatically during fire conditions
